This is a two-screen version of The Dancer and the Dance.
Open the file in two browser windows on the same computer. Choose Dancer Role in one window and Observer’s Role in the other.
The Dancer starts the round when the Observer says they are ready.
The Dancer uses the mouse or trackpad to intentionally move one of the five numbered dancers while trying to keep it nested among the others.
The Observer watches the other screen and presses 1–5, or taps the matching number button, when ready to guess.
The Mind Reader also makes a guess using the beta-based mind-reading algorithm. Its guess is hidden from both players until the Observer has also guessed.
After both the Observer and Mind Reader have guessed, both screens ask the Dancer to report the number of the dancer actually being controlled.
The Observer and Mind Reader are both scored against the Dancer’s report.
Important: this prototype links two windows on the same computer/browser. A true two-computer or phone-to-laptop version will need a small WebSocket or realtime-server version.
